PIONEER WOMAN DIED AT DAUGHTER'S HOME
MRS. BENIGNA TRUJILLO CALLED AT AGE OF 70; MEMBER OF BIG RUBIDOUX FAMILY
COLTON, Jan. 8 - Death claimed Mrs. Benigna R. Trujillo, a member of the pioneer Rubidoux family, shortly before 10 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Peters, at Third and Congress streets. Though she had been in poor health for a year, it was not until Thursday that her condition became serious.
The deceased was 70 years old and was a native of Riverside. She is survived by four children, Mrs. F. C. Peters and Mrs. A. P. Romo of this city and Raymond and John Trujillo of Highgrove. She has spent all of her life in Riverside, Highgrove and Colton.
Mrs. Trujillo was one of the seven children of Luis Rubidoux, who at one time owned the present site of the city of Riverside, and the old Rubidoux hacienda still stands at the base of Mt. Rubidoux, named after the famous Spanish family. 
Brothers and sisters of Mrs. Trujillo who are still living are Luis Rubidoux of San Jacinto; Abundo Rubidoux, Pasqual Rubidous and Mrs. J. A. Estudillo of Riverside.
Funeral services will be held from the San Salvador church at 10 a.m. Monday, Father Fernandez officiating.
