Robert Hieb was born April 23, 1945, at Firesteel to John and Hilda Hieb.
He married Wanda Chudomelka on Jan. 26, 1974, at Tekamah.
He worked several years for Alfred Biegler at Timber Lake. He then joined the Electrical Power Co., traveling to different towns to work. He later went to work for a rancher near Tekamah. For the past 14 years he had worked at Double-Circle Farm Supply in Tekamah.
He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church north of Firesteel.
Survivors include his wife of Tekamah; two sons, Jim Hieb and Bryan Hieb at home; one daughter, Samantha Hieb at home; his mother of Newcastle, WY; four sisters, Mrs. Mark (Bernice) Kari of Bison, SD, Mrs. John (Wilma) Vancleave of Billings, MT, Mrs. Terry (Alice) Mullner of Westport, SD, and Mrs. Mark (Virginia) Kober of Newcastle, WY; and eight brothers, Edward of Gillette, WY, Eugene of Great Falls, MT, Wayne, Gary, Willard, Johney, Darrel and Donald all of Newcastle, WY.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1971 and one sister.
