Mary M LOCKE Snyder was the youngest of 12 children born to Eli and Mary (O'Dell) Locke. After her parents died she lived with her brothers John and Levi keeping house for them.
On 14 of August, 1881 she married William Snyder
They lived first in Tippecanoe, In. then moving to Peru, Indiana.
Along with raising her own children she also raised her grandson Harry R. Snyder.
Mary is survived by her two daughters Carrie Huff and Nellie (John) Hudson of Peru and by her son John R. Snyder.
She was proceeded in death her husband William, by her parents, a child in infancy, a grandson Joseph Hudson and granddaughter Margaret Hudson.

Mrs. Mary Margaret Snyder, 79, widow of William E. Snyder,
died of heart disease early today at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. John Hudson, 113 West Eighth street.
She had been ill for several weeks.
Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of the
Allen funeral home, 68 East Third street, at 2 o'clock
Monday afternoon. The Rev. V.L. Clear, pastor of the First
Methodist church, will officiate and interment will be in
Mount Hope cemetery.
Survivors besides Mrs. Hudson are two other children, Mrs. Carrie Hoff and John R. Snyder, both of Akron, 16 grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The deceased was the last of a family of twelve brother and sisters.~~
