Mildred Drummond was born Dec. 13, 1896, in the town of Macomb, daughter of James and Eva Daily Cooper. She married Harold A. Drummond on Oct. 10, 1917, at the Gouverneur Methodist Church, with the Rev. William M. Hydon, then pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Drummond was known for her cake-making and -decorating abilities, specializing in weddings, anniversaries and birthdays.

She and her husband, Harold, operated a dairy farm in the town of Macomb for many years, retiring in 1965. Following retirement, they moved to Brier Hill. Mr. Drummond died Sept. 4, 1980. Mrs. Drummond continued to live in Brier Hill until 1992, when she entered the nursing home at age 95.

She enjoyed quilting and won blue ribbons at the Gouverneur & St. Lawrence County Fair.

She was a member of Macomb Grange 768, Pomona State Grange, the Friendly Club of Brier Hill and the Morristown Methodist Church. She was a lifelong member and past matron of the DePeyster Order of the Eastern Star 60, and a 60-year member of Pope Mills Eureka Rebekah Lodge.
