Charles P. Bevington died Friday night in his home at 2510 10th St NW from a heart seizure. Until stricken he had been apparently enjoying good health. He was 76.

Born at Carlisle, Mr. Bevington had resided in Canton except for 15 years when he was in Akron associated with the International Harvester Co. He had been employed 24 years by the Timken Roller Bearing Co. in the bearing department, retiring in 1948.

Mr. Bevington attended Simpson Methodist Church and was a 50-year member of Canton Council, Jr. O.U.A.M. Last June Mr. and Mrs. Bevington observed their 55th wedding anniversary.

Surviving, in addition to his widow, Sadie, are three sons, R. Elden Bevington of Martins Ferry, Ray A. of Euclid and Charles E. Bevington of Springfield; three sisters, Mrs. Emil Hendricks of Canton, Mrs. Leland Newhouse of Whisler and Mrs. Jack Lockhart of Allison Park, Pa; three brothers, Guy of Los Angeles, Roy of Irvington, N. J. and Ernest Bevington of Mt. Vernon, and three grandchildren.

Rev. Sidney G. Suitor will conduct services in the Schneeberger funeral home Monday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
