Ferdinand J. Huber Sr., 90, Paxinos, formerly of Munster, died Friday at home.
He was born in Munster, son of the late Vincent and Augusta (Farabaugh) Huber. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (Kelly); second wife, Grace (Toyer); brothers: Ralph and Paul; sisters: Agnes Shannon and Anna Marie West; and a granddaughter, Chase.
He is survived by children: Mary Alice Garrity (James) of Paxinos, Ferdinand J. Jr. (Margaret) in Florida, Jeannette Szymala (Edward) of Collegeville and Gerald (Patricia) of Mount Carmel; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He retired as a caretaker at Mother of Divine Providence Catholic Church, King of Prussia, and prior to that, he had worked as an auto mechanic at Schettig's Garage and Stager's Garage, both of Cresson.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Basilica of St. Michael, Loretto, by Monsignor Timothy Swope. Committal at church cemetery. Military graveside rites by Cresson American Legion, Sankertown VFW and other local veteran organizations.
