He was married to Lillian Smith. He and his wife came from Germany.

Conrad Bankert of Amsterdam died Wednesday at the Montgomery county home. He was born in Germany April 11, 1840 and came to America 50 years ago.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edward Dingman of Canajoharie; a son and a brother in Amsterdam.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 o'clock at the funeral rooms of C. L. Young; at Canajoharie, and the remains will be placed in the vault in the Canajoharie Falls cemetery until spring; when the interment will be made in Amsterdam.

***Note: Obituary states he was to be buried in Amsterdam, but he was buried in the Canajoharie Falls Cemetery. Also obituary states he was born in 1840, stones has what looks to be 1839 as year born.
