Lola Annabell Akers, 83, of Shelburn, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor in Sullivan, Indiana.
She was born on March 4, 1930 in Clay City, Indiana the daughter of William O. and Hallie (Hochstetler) Bush. Annabelle was a homemaker. She was a member of Shelburn Church of God.
Annabell is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Lex Akers, several brothers and several sisters.
Survivors include her husband Walter Akers, three sons; Jeff (Lisa) Akers of Shelburn, Indiana, Wally (Robin) Akers of Arkansas, and Randy (Nancy) Akers of Portage, Indiana, five daughters; Susie (Gary) Starkey of Marshall, Illinois, Vickie (Jim) Brown of Danville, Kentucky, Toni (Sam) Black of Sullivan, Indiana, Cathy Kemper (Rick Ellison) of Sullivan, Indiana, and Terri Akers (Rob White) of Casey, Illinois, brother Ray Bush of Sullivan, Indiana and sister Eileen Dale of Shelburn, Indiana. Annabelle is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Banks and Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. Jerry Adams and Bro. J.F. Rehmel officiating. Interment will follow in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn, Indiana. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Banks and Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana.
