Mrs. Abbie Leese
BRODBECK – Mrs. Abbie Leese, widow of Holman C. Leese, died Thursday at 8 a.m. at her home, Brodbeck RD 1, following a brief illness. She was 74.
Mrs. Leese was a daughter of the late Urias and Sarah Werner Kaltreider of Manheim Township. She was a member of the Sunday School and the Lutheran Congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church, and the Ladies' Auxiliary of Jefferson Fire Co. Her husband died in 1968.
Surviving are: Three sons, Sterling K. Leese, 12 N. Water St., Spring Grove; Lester L. Leese, Brodbeck RD 1; Holman C. Leese Jr., Seven Valleys RD 1; three daughters, Dorothy P. Leese, Spring Grove RD 1; Mrs. Lloyd G. Kiser, Glenville; Mrs. J. Kenneth Wright, Cincinnati, Ohio; 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Kaltreider, Brodbeck RD 1, and two sisters, Mrs. William Schuman, Glen Rock RD 2, and Mrs. Lottie Krebs, Brodbeck RD 1.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Richard C. Weaver, and a former pastor, the Rev. Dr. Kenneth S. Ehrhart. Interment will be in St. Peter's (Lischey's) Union Cemetery.
