The Rev. Albert H. Wietharn , 81, Perry, Kan., a former Kansas City pastor, died June 20, 1992, at a hospital in Topeka.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Topeka; burial in the Priest Circle at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Topeka. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, where the Altar Society Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m., and the Parish Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. The Nocturnal Adoration Society will hold an all night vigil Tuesday following the rosary at the church. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions for masses in memory of the Rev. Albert H. Wietharn at the church.

The Rev. Wietharn was pastor of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Perry since 1981. He was pastor of St. Bernard's Church in Wamego, Kan., from 1973 to 1981, Sacred Heart Church in Topeka from 1952 to 1973, and Sacred Heart Church in Paxico, Kan., from 1948 to 1951.

He was pastor of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Osage City, Kan., and in Scranton, Kan., from 1942 to 1948, and for St. Joseph's Church in Waverly, Kan., and St. Anthony's Church in Homewood, Kan., from 1941 to 1942. He was assistant pastor for the Old Cathedral Church in Leavenworth from 1939 to 1941, and assistant pastor at St. Mary's Church in Kansas City, Kan., from 1937 to 1939.

He received his bachelor's degree in education from St. Benedict's College in Atchison, Kan., in 1933. He received his theological training in Louvain, Belgium. He was ordained a priest in 1937 in Louvain.

He was a former director of the Priests' Eucharist League and served in the Ministry to Priest program of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. He was born in Baileyville, Kan., and lived in Louvain, and throughout Kansas and Missouri before moving to Perry in 1981.

Survivors include a brother, Francis Wietharn, Baileyville; three sisters, Marie Heiman and Rita Floersch of Seneca, Kan., and Helen Buser, Scottsdale, Ariz.
