Davis, Elmer H. "Bo" 70, of Maryville, died at 12:04 p.m.. Tuesday at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a member of Laws Chapel Baptist Church and was a veteran of WWII where he received the Purple Heart. Davis was retired from the U.S. Post Office. Survivors include his wife Blanche Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Mary Davis of Maryville. daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann and Butch Smith of Walland, Kay and Paul E.Tilson of Maryville, Marsha and Mike Strickland of Friendsville; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brothers; James "Bunt" Davis of Greenback, Kelsey Davis of Texas and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 8 p.m.Thursday in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Elders Hoyle Taylor and Danny McKee officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2 p.m. Friday at Grandview Cemetery for interment Service Memorial Donations can be made to The American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at Smith Mortuary.
