Age 78 Years.

Loving husband of Margaret(Scroggy)whom he married March 14, 1867. Devoted father of Earnest, Harry, Bulah, Mabel and Oliver Jr. Brother of James. Grandfather of Ruth and Ollie. Oliver was a brave soldier and fought in the Civil War. He fought at one of the bloodiest battles and was wounded at Antietam. He spent 3 months as a prisoner at Libby Prison in Richmond, Virginia. After moving from New York to Saginaw, Oliver joined the police department and served as Deputy Sheriff and also Police Captain. Retired after 33 years of service to the Saginaw residents.
