Robert E. Kissel, 49, Diamond, died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at his home in Diamond, following a sudden illness.

Mr. Kissel was born July 3, 1959, in Carthage, the son of Charles Dwight Kissel Sr. and Lavone (Frisbie) Kissel. He graduated from Diamond High School and had worked at Atlas Powder and Mediacom Cable. He attended Diamond Christian Church.

Robert is survived by two sons, Derek Shane Kissel and Matthew Steven Kissel and wife, Delanya, Diamond; one daughter, K'Dee Marie Kissel, Diamond; his parents, Charles and Lavone Kissel, Diamond; one brother, Charles D. Kissel Jr., Diamond; and two nephews, Chris Kissel and Joshua Kissel, Joplin.

Services will be Monday, Sept. 22, at 1 pm at Diamond Christian Church, Mike Wardlow, Minister will officiate. Burial will be in the Diamond Cemetery, Diamond. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, on Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. Contributions in memory of Mr. Kissel may be made to the K'Dee Kissel Education Fund in care of Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, Mo, 64850.
