Dau of Rev. Metcalf Jackson Cox and Lillian Alexander. Rev. Cox died of typhoid before Mildred's birth. His young widow could not care for all her children, and Mildred was taken to be raised by the family doctor, Dr. E. D. and May Dell (Walton) Turner. As an adult, Mildred adopted them as her parents.

"CAVE CITY - Mildred Cox Turner Page, 90, of Cave City died Sept 12, 2005 at Treyton Oak Towers in Louisville. The Daviess Co native was a retired teacher and public school music teacher for the old Jefferson Co Public Schools and was a member of the KY Retired Teachers Assoc. She received a bachelor of arts degree in piano performance from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburg and a master's degree in education from Western Kentucy University. She was also a member of Cave City United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the American Federation of Musicians. She was a daughter of the late Dr. E.D. Turner and May Delle Walton Turner. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Cave City United Methodist Church, PO Box 660, Cave City KY 42127. Survivors include a daughter, Judith P. Hunt and her husband, Dean, of Louisville, three grandchildren, Paul R., John D and Ellen E. Hunt, and a great-granddaughter, Kristen Hunt.

Note: Mildred is linked to her adoptive parents who raised her from newborn. They share a family monument as Turner - Page.
