Professional Football Player. He played at the running back position for nine seasons (1973 to 1981) in the National Football League with the Cincinnati Bengals and San Francisco 49ers. He was a member of the Super Bowl XVI Champion 49ers team in 1982. After playing collegiate football at Northeast Missouri State, Elliott was selected by the Bengals in the 10th round of the 1973 NFL Draft. He appeared in 101 regular season games, with 1,900 career rushing yards and 8 touchdowns. In addition, he was effective when returning kickoffs on special teams. He died from a heart attack at age 57.
