Darrel K. Burns, son of Angeline H. Weaver and Robert G. Burns, grew up in Shoshone, Idaho during the Great Depression. He married Hazel Lewis in 1943 in Gooding, Idaho. They came to Los Alamos in 1957 after purchasing Radio Station KRSN. Darrel was known for his integrity and community service. He became the "Voice of Los Alamos".
