MRS.PADDOCK, PIONEER, DIES

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Paddock, 80, who died Saturday, were held at the Nelson funeral parlor Tuesday. Mrs. Paddock died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Andy Jensen with whom she has resided in recent years.
She was born in Hart County, Kentucky, in 1856 and crossed the plains in 1884 settling in Malheur County. She resided near Vale until 1905 when she and her husband moved to Ola, Idaho.
She is survived by three children Mrs. Jensen, Mrs. Anna Johnson, Vale, and William Paddock, Arlington. Survivors also include 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: George and Silas of California, John of Vale and Henry of Medford, Oregon; Mrs. Mary Loveland, Ontario; Mrs. E.J. Schultz, Boise; Mrs. Mattie Robbins, Vale; Mrs. Biddie Ricker, Vale; Mrs Lucy Goodrich, Aubern, Wash.
Rev. Albyn Esson officiated at the funeral. Pallbearers were J. Edwin Johnson, Fred Stacey, Sam Smith, Ed Hendrix, John Dicherson.
