He was born on June 21, 1912, to Reed and Delia (Hickam) Noland at Sevier County, Tenn., where he was raised and educated.
Mr. Noland served in the Civilian Conservation Corps at the Smokey Mountains and then moved to Leavenworth in 1943. He worked as a logger for Hank Brown Logging and then later worked for Clark Orchards. He worked for the city of Leavenworth from 1961 until he retired in 1974.
He married Dessie Wilburn Johnson on Sept. 19, 1964, at Coeur d'Alene.
He was a member of the Church of God at East Wenatchee.
Survivors include his wife, at home; a son, Don Noland of Peshastin; two daughters, Ruby Hanson of Chula Vista, Calif., and Joanne McCarter of Seymour, Tenn.; a stepson, Virgil Bowlin of LaFollette, Tenn.; three brothers, John Noland of Gatlinburg, Tenn., Mark Noland of Seymour and Wayne Noland of Dunellon, Fla.; a sister, Jane Whaley of Peshastin; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
