Died of dropsy at his home, 918 1/2 Eighth avenue, at 3:30 yesterday
afternoon, aged 72 years, 5 months and 1 day. Deceased was a Christian
man, having been a member of the Baptist church for forty-nine years.
He leaves to survive him his wife and eleven children, as follows:
Alexander, Thomas, John, William, Mrs. Anna Hileman, and Margaret, of
this city; Mrs. Shellenberger, of Reese; Mrs. Smythe, of Jefferson
county; George, of Ohio; Daniel, of Frankstown, and Mrs. Frances Rutt,
of Colorado. Funeral services will be conducted as his late residence
at 12:30 o'clock tomorrow, after which the remains will be taken to
Hollidaysburg and at 2:30 in the afternoon the interment will be made
