Clara Ayer Knight was the second daughter of Mary (Reily) and Charles Dunham Knight. She was born at home, had red hair, and dimples in both cheeks, family members say that she loved to dance the jitterbug, was very outgoing, liked to tease and joke with people to make them laugh.
She is listed in the 1910 Census at age 15, where she is working as filler in a packing house and living with her parents at 35 De Sales Place, Brooklyn, NY
In 1920, she and her husband John DICK and their son Lloyd Lynn Dick (called Buddy) are living with her parents Mary and Charles Dunham Knight, at 19 Putnam Ave., Bklyn., NY. Her husband John Dick, is working as a Bookkeeper for an Oil Co., Clara is not working.
Clara (KNIGHT) Dick, died on 31 Mar 1928 on the Atlantic Highway, Kennebunk, Maine at age 33 in an automobile accident, when a tire blowout caused her car to swerve and crash into a tree. She died instantly of a Concussion to the Brain and Shock. She died less than 3 months after the Jan 1928 death of her mother.
Note: Was the dau of Mary Reily & Charles D Knight. She married John Dick on 03 Jun 1914.
