DORIS E. MEANS AURORA-Doris E. Means, 76, passed away at 5:05 AM, Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in the St. John's Hospital, Aurora. She was born July 5, 1931 in Aurora to Henry "Stewart" and Bernice (Moore) Bellis.
Doris was a 1949 Aurora High School graduate. She was a homemaker and a member of the Orange Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
On November 17, 1951 she married Homer Means in Aurora. He preceded her in death November 13, 1996. Her parents also preceded her in death. Survivors include four children, Donna Long and husband Rick, Barbara McKee and husband David, Mike Means and wife Tiffany all of Aurora; Janey Hood and husband David, Mt. Vernon; brother, Dale Bellis and wife Dorothy, sister, Avanell Jones and husband Minford all of Aurora, sister Joyce Clark and husband Tom, Spring, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Services under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 28th in the Orange Church with burial in the Orange Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, July 27th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Orange Cumberland Presbyterian Church in care of the funeral home.
