Ilah Elaine Butler, 97, born September 12, 1918 in Gratiot County, MI, passed away December 18, 2015 in Lansing, MI. Elaine worked at the former Kroger store in Grand Ledge and was a member of Wacousta Community United Methodist Church. She enjoyed square dancing, gardening, hunting, playing cards; loved spending time on her farm walking in the woods and enjoyed the seasons. Elaine is survived by her son, Allan (Barbara) Moon and daughter, Rebecca (Richard) Rogers; four grandchildren: Renee Goodwin, Toni (Tavis) Winters, Douglas Rogers and Meredith Rogers, and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, William, daughter Gloria Moon, grandson Timothy Moon, sisters, Beulah Mills and Mary Frances Archer, and brother Carl Howe. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Wacousta Community United Methodist Church, 9180 W. Herbison Road, Eagle (Watertown Twp.), with Rev. Amee Paparella officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Interment to follow at Wacousta Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Clinton County Meals on Wheels or Wacousta Community United Methodist Church.
