Ben Eugene Kasl, son of Benjamin H. and Anna M. Wicks Kasl, was born November 9, 1923 at Belleville, Kansas, and died July 20, 1999 at the Republic County Long Term Care, Belleville, Kansas, at the age of 75 years, eight months and 11 days.

He received his education in the public schools and graduated from Belleville High School in 1941, He owned and operated the North Central Tree Service and started the Kasl Christmas Tree Farm in 1980.

He was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Woodman on December 28, 1942 and to this union two children were born.

He was a member of the Methodist Church, the Kansas Christmas Tree Growers Association and a lifetime member of the Kansas Arborists Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister, Virginia Lea.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Kasl of Belleville, Kasl, a son, Michael E. Kasl of Belleville, Kansas, a daughter, Linda Jo Meierhans of Olathe, Kansas, three grandchildren, and five great=grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 1999 at the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, Kansas, with Rev. Paul Morris officiating.

Interment was made in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Belleville, Kansas.
