Elizabeth (Sears) Dameron was the daughter of William Sears (1804-1878) and Jane (McDavitt) Sears (1809-1847), both of whom were born in Kentucky and died in Macon County, Missouri.

On January 28, 1844, Elizabeth married John H. Dameron in Macon County, Missouri. They resided near Callao, Missouri and had the following known children:

Mary E. Dameron 1849-
Cassandra Dameron 1851-
Louisa Dameron 1854-
Henrietta Dameron 1856-
George A. Dameron 1858-
John R. Dameron 1860-

Elizabeth died in 1874 when your youngest child was only 9. She was buried at Old Chariton Cemetery.

John remarried in 1882 to Miss Elizabeth Gould "Mitt" Richmond and they had three children who died young. John died in 1890 and was buried by his first wife at Old Chariton.
