DEATHS

Homer A. Williams, 68, died Wednesday, July 11, 1958, at the Miami County hospital where he had been taken following a heart attack in the afternoon.

The son of George K. and Capitola Vertrees Williams, Mr. Williams was born January 8, 1888, at Freeman, Mo. He was married December 24, 1905, to Estella Badgley at Selden, Kansas, and six children were born to them, one son, Raymond A. Williams of Paola, and five daughters, Helen, wife of James Massey, Dallas, Tex., Florence, wife of Ernest Seeman, Paola, Edith Mae, wife of Lester Beamer, Guymon, Okia., Lola Deane, wife of Wendell Crotchett, Louisburg and Doris, wife of Brooks Hinkle, Paola.

Mrs. WIIliams died March 10, 1932, and December 14, 1942, Mr. Williams was married to Louise Colvin, who survives him. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ethel Beck, Los Angeles, Calif.

Mr. Williams farmed all his life until ill health forced his retirement. He was a member of Peace Lodge No. 243 at Louisburg, the Scottish Rite in Kansas City, Kans., and the Shrine in Salina, Kansas. Prior to moving to Paola in 1955, he lived seven years at Spring Hill and before that lived many years in the Louisburg community.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Runyan's chapel at Louisburg with Dr. J. W. Kelly in charge. Greg Weber, accompanied by Mrs. Weber, sang "Sweet Bye and Bye~" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Pallbearers were Walter Zumbrunnen, Dean Carpenter, Glen Towne, Dwight Cook, James H. Bunce, Herbert Martin, Bush Newton and Homer Westhoff. Burial was in the Louisburg, cemetery.
