Clarence Lee Coffee went to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 1-13-2010. He was born on 4-13-1918 in Cleveland, OK to Carl and Dessie Coffee. He married Florence Kathlyn Browning on 12-3-1938. In 1945, they built a house in south OKC where they spent the remainder of their lives together, where all were welcome and made to feel at home. They enjoyed going to the lake, camping, fishing and hunting, especially with friends and family. Clarence served in WWII and retired as a civilian employee from TAFB. He spent a large amount of time working in his garage, fixing or building things for his own needs or someone else's. He was known by many as the "worm man" and spent years gaining knowledge and raising worms. He and Florence were active members of the Wilmont Place Baptist Church since 1945. Clarence is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Florence, his parents, 3 sisters, a grandson and 2 sons-in-law. He is survived by brother W.E. Coffee, sister Beverly Cook, 2 daughters Dorothy Barnes and husband Frosty, and Betty Massie; 4 grandchildren Ricky Barnes, Kelly Whitaker and husband Bruce, Alan Barnes and wife Sheri, Sherry Kueteman and husband Karl; 9 great grandchildren Zac, Ali, Sarah, Jason, Michael, Andrea, Kali, Brittany and Matthew; 1 great great grandchild Aidan, and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Clarence was loved for his joyful attitude towards life, his generous nature and his loving spirit. He will be greatly missed. The services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Fri. 1-15-2010 at Wilmont Place Baptist Church.
