Richard Kay "Dick" Wildung was a Hall of Fame college and pro football player. He was born in Anoka, Minnesota and died in Minneapolis, Minn. He was a two-time consensus All-American tackle for the University of Minnesota in 1941 and 1942. He was a first round draft pick in 1943 by the Green Bay Packers. He finished seventh in the Heisman Trophy voting in 1942. He entered the service and was a Navy lieutenant on a PT boat in the Pacific Ocean. He played on the Packers for seven years from 1946 to 1953, sitting out the 1952 season to help with the family business. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1957 and the Packer Hall of Fame in 1973
