Mabel R. Brass (1915-2008)
Mabel Ruth Brass, 93, of Ackley, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Presbyterian Village.
She was born Feb. 27, 1915, in rural Ackley, daughter of Herman W. and Caroline Sailer Kreimeyer. She married Willie Brass on June 20, 1941, in Ackley.
Mrs. Brass graduated from Ackley High School. She was a homemaker and farm wife and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
Survived by: three sons, Dale (Carlleen) and Merlyn (Linda), both of Ackley, and Ronald (Rosalita) of Dubuque; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren
Preceded in death by: a granddaughter; four brothers; and seven sisters.
Services: were 10:30 a.m. today at St. John's United Church of Christ, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, both in Ackley. Sietsema Funeral Home, Ackley, was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials: may be left to the discretion of the family.
