BESSIE G. STOWERS - Born November 1, 1900, died March 28, 1982, age 81 years 4 month and 27 days. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 31, 1982, at 2:00 p.m. at the Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV, with Rev. Russell Adkins and Rev. Arthur White officiating. Interment in the Stowers Cemetery, near Hager, WV. She was the daughter of the late Evi and Martha Smith Plumley, the widow of Jessie Stowers and was preceeded in death by a daughter, Roxie Yeager. Surviving are two sons Rev. Cash R. and Billy Joe Stowers, three daughters Virginia Stowers, Hellena Adkins and Elba Adkins; one brother Walter Plumley; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Note: She was a sister of Leva Florence Honaker, George Plumley, Lelia Byrd, Sarah, Rosa Tabor, Walter Lewis Plumley, and James Ambrose Plumley.
