Alice E Anderson Auburn Resident Dies at Home
Mrs Alice Elnora Anderson, 69, died of a heart ailment at Auburn, last Sunday June 24.
SShe was married to H. Peter Anderson in the Logan Temple September 28, 1898 and eleven children were born to this union, five of whom have preceded her in death. Her husband died two years ago.
The family moved to Auburn in 1931 and Auburn has been her home since that time.
She was active in the LDS church all her life, serving in Relief Society, Primary and other auxilliary organizations. She was president of the Primary in Auburn for two years. She also served as a Relief Society teacher all her life in addition to rearing a large family and taking care of a home.
She is survived by six sons and daughters; Andrew J. Anderson, Virginia Hillyard of Auburn; Orlando Anderson, Zelda Crapo of Pocatello, Idaho; Audra Schwendiman of Logan, Utah and gilmer T. Anderson of Salt Lake City. Seventeen grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters also survive; Charlotte Higginson, Bancroft, Idaho; Myrtle Bohi, Salem, Idaho; Lucretia Call, Caldwell Idaho; Lloyd Tolman, Santa Ana Calif.; Howard Tolman Burbank Calif.
She and her husband had celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary three years ago, September 28, 1948.

Funeral services were held at the Auburn Ward chapel June 27, 1951 for Alice E. Anderson, who died June 24 at Auburn of a heart ailment. Service began at 1:00 p.m. and were conducted by R.A. Herrick. Prayer in the home was by Jesse A. Hurd. The program was as follows: Opening song, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," by the choir; Prayer by George Higginson; Song "Beyond the Sunset" by Ernest Turner; Speaker Devon Mecham; duet "Stranger of Galilee", Ada Nelson and Glenda Hyde; musical poetry, Elona Hillyward accompanied by Ruth Linford and Karren Schwab; speaker R.A. Herrich; song "Sometime We'll Understand", by the choir.
Prayer by Bp Charles Moser.
The grave was dedicated by M.K. Hurd.
Following the service a lunch was sreved to friends and relatives at the chapel by the Auburn Relief Society.

Conrad, Mr and Mrs M.K. Hurd all of Pocatello Idaho; Mrs Audra Schwendiman and daughters Carol Jean and Lorraine and Mary Black of Logan Utah.
