Mrs. Barrett Dies at Home of Daughter, Mrs. Walter Worsfold

Death came in the early morning hours, last Sunday into the home of Walter Worsfold and summoned Mrs. Margaret Harrison Barrett. Mrs. Barrett was 61 years, 9months and 2 days old, born July 6, 1865, in Radnor township.
She was the daughter of John and Amanda Hatfield Harrison, of residents of the vicinity of Dunlap. She grew to womanhood on the home farm, where she lived until September 3, 1884, at which time she untied in marriage to Flavens Barrett.
To this union were born thirteen children: Mrs. Frank Turner, Mrs. Clarence Martzluf, Mrs. Forest burns, Mrs. Edward Garner, Mrs. George Poole, Walter Barrett, Mrs. Walter Worsfold, all of Princeville; Mrs. Fred Martzluf, of Elmwood; and John, Leonard, Oswald and Stella at Home. Elmer passed away in infancy.
Mr. Barrett preceded his wife in death 16 years ago. She is survived by 12 children, 27 grandchildren and one brother, Levi Harrison, of Spencer, Iowa, and five sisters, Mrs. John Brassfield. Mrs. Walter Smith, Mrs. Charles Sanks, Mrs. Henry Meyer, all of Dunlap and Mrs. George Newkirk of Redlands, California.
Mrs. Barrett was a member of the Methodist church most of her life, being a firm believer in her Savior, in whom she confessed faith, to whom she went in departing this life.
Some six months ago Mrs. Barrett underwent an operation from which she never did fully recovered sufficient strength to ward off the approach of the hand of the grim reaper. The best care that was to be has was given her during her illness, but death came to her while she was being cared for at the home of her daughter Mrs. Walter Worsfold. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was in the Princeville cemetery.
