Born Oct. 15, 1914 in Royce [sic Royse] City, she was the daughter of John Barton and Effie Bartlett Douglas. She was a homemaker and member of the Christian Church. In the past years, she was also very active as a Girl Scout leader, the PTA, and director of many youth groups and women's organizations in her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.F. Berry, who died in 1981.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Kay Berry, of Houston; daughters, Beverly Berry, of Houston, and Chris Bynog, of Center; grandchildren, Melissa Steele, of Sugar Land, Bradley Ross, of Dallas, Andrea Berry and Stephen Berry, Brenda and Becky Thomason; and six great-grandchildren.
