Mr. and Mrs. John Mehrens certainly have the sympathy of the entire community for in less than a week they lost their three little children of scarlet fever. Alta, aged 5 years and 6 months, died on Monday a week ago; Alfred, 17 months, died last Thursday and Sylvia, 3 years and 9 months, died on Friday of the same week. On account of the nature of the disease no public funerals were held. Interment was made in the Blair cemetery and the parents’ hearts lie buried with the three.
