Clive A. Palmer, 36, of Hartford, beloved husband of Marie E. (Appleton) Palmer, and son of Carnie Palmer of Hartford and the late Easton Palmer, died suddenly on Wednesday, (September 24, 2008) after years of struggling with the effects of PTSD.
He was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica on February 6, 1972. Clive's early education was completed in Jamaica. He later graduated from Quirk Middle then Hartford High School. While in high school he ran track and received many accolades. He attended Porter and Chester Institute for Drafting and Capital Community College for Liberal Arts. He pursued a career in modeling and several other business ventures. He later held employment at Hartford Hospital in the Food and Nutrition Department. He was an avid reader and an intellectual who persistently explored the philosophy of life. He will be greatly missed.
Besides his wife and mother, Clive is survived by his daughter, Briaja Palmer; two brothers, Sheldon Palmer and David Palmer; his sister, Racquel Palmer-Rowe; brother-in-law, Leon Rowe; niece Rayona Chapman; nephew Tahj Palmer; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and Friends may call at Kings Chapel, 400 Woodland Street, Hartford on Saturday, October 4 from 9-10 a.m., followed by Funeral Services at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
