Albert Anderson, age 84, a town of Amherst farmer nearly all his life, died suddenly Sunday night at 11 o'clock at the home of his son, Ingwald Anderson, at Rosholt, with whom he had been making his home. Mr. Anderson had been in failing health for the past two years. He complained Saturday of not feeling as well as usual but was able to be up and about until retiring Sunday night. Some of his children came to see him Sunday night after he had gone to bed for the night and his death occurred while he was sitting up in bed conversing with them.
Mr. Anderson was born on May 13, 1858, in the town of Amherst and had always lived in that vicinity. He owned a large farm in Amherst where he lived continuously until two weeks ago. Since then he spent part of his time with his son in Rosholt and part on the farm until it was recently sold. His wife died in 1935.
Surviving are four children, Alfred, Ingwald and Mrs. Oliver Dobbe of Rosholt and Edwin Anderson of Neillsville and 10 grandchildren. Two of his grandchildren are with the armed forces, Harold Anderson, at Kessler Field, Mississippi, and earl Dobbe at Camp Forrest, Tennessee. All of this other grandchildren are at Rosholt with the exception of Irma Anderson, who is in Milwaukee.
