New London, NH - Edward C. Kinzer, Sr. Lt. Colonel USAF Retired, died on September 24, 2008 at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, NY the son of Rita and Paul Kinzer. Colonel Kinzer was a highly decorated member of the United States Air Force. He served in Korea and Vietnam as well as many stateside assignments. Colonel Kinzer raised Dorset sheep, New Zealand rabbits and his beloved chickens. After his military retirement, he was a real estate broker in the Lake Sunapee area. He and his wife, Pat, spent many years living in Florida and also traveling in their motor home. They eventually settled back in the New London area. Family members include his wife, Pat of 55 years, daughters, Kathy (Dodge) Emery, Karen Cidzik, Pat Sudak, Ann Soifert, son Edward C. Kinzer, Jr. and their spouses, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
On Sunday September 28, 2008 the calling hours will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH. On Monday September 29, 2008 there will be a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 724 Main Street, New London, NH. Following the service there will be an interment at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH at 12:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Kinzer's name to the charity of one's choice.
