Note: Retired Minister Dies at Family Home: The Rev. J.G. Coleman, retired Methodist minister, died yesterday afternoon at the family residence , 2688 St. John Street, at the age of 81. Well known in Methodist circles, he had served in the ministry for 48 years, before retiring several years ago. The Rev. Mr. Coleman is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lena Coleman; two sons, Leroy Coleman of Meridian and constable of Beat 1 and Cecil E. Coleman of Mobile; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Pickett of Meridian and Mrs. Ruby Cooper of Memphis, Tenn; three brothers, Charlie Coleman and Circuit Clerk Preston P. Coleman of Meridian, and W.B. Coleman of Homer, La; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral is scheduled for 10 o'clock tomorrow morning at Webb's, with the Revs. Austin Watson, Edward Walley, Carl Stephens, and C.D. Lassiter as the officiants. Burial is to be in the Stinson Cemetery, nephews serving as active pallbearers. Honorary will be friends of the family.
