Vinson Earl was born in Mosheim, Texas, to the late Alice Mabel (Lawrence) and Joseph Williams Powers. On Oct. 20, 1951, he married June Smith. Sonny was a fisherman, gun enthusiast and knife collector.
He was preceded in death by a son, Vinson; and grandchildren, Dennis and Chase Conway.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, June Powers; sons, J.T. Powers, of Mosheim, and Bruce Powers and wife, Summer, of Hewitt; daughters, Lydia Wells and husband, Keith, of Ft. Smith, Ark., Alicia Norman and husband, Tommy, of Kempner, Texas, and Tara Conway and husband, Dennis, of McAlpin, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers; three sisters; many other loving family members and friends.
