Connersville, IN Brian Keith Bever, 42, 6204 W. Coletrane Road, died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, after a long illness.
He was born Nov. 2, 1957, in Fayette County to William and Mary Ellen Hauger Bever.
He attended Orange Elementary School and was a 1976 graduate of Connersville High School.
For 23 years, he worked as a machinist at Roots Blower and was in United Auto Workers Local 1118.
He Farmed in the Orange community and served as a deacon at the Orange Christian Church. He enjoyed deer hunting and was an avid basketball fan.
Survivors include his parents; his wife, Melinda Turner Bever, whom he married Oct. 11, 1980, in Glenwood; three daughters, Billie Joy of Connersville and Cara and Brianne Bever, both at home; two sisters, Bev Sterling and Brenda Dillon, both of Connersville; one brother, Brad Bever of Connersville; two grandchildren; grandparents, Hallie Hauger and Stella Bever; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Kenneth Hauger Sr., and paternal grand-father, Clifford Bever.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Garrison Creek Baptist Church. Tim Adams, pastor of Orange Christian Church, and Lance Ladd of Wadsworth, Ohio, have been asked to officiate. Burial will be at Orange Creek Cemetery in Fayette County. Visitation will be from 5:30-9 p.m. today at Showalter-Blackwell-Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, 920 Central Ave., Connersville, and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials may be made at the funeral home to the American Diabetes Association or Orange Christian Church.
