LEWIS, Doris Mae (Age 81) - Passed away July 2, 2007 at the Pullman Regional Hospital. She was born September 14, 1925 in Culdesac, Idaho to Harley and Iva Miller Clark.
When she was a baby the family moved to Kellogg, ID where they lived for 17 years. They moved to Spokane and she graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1943. After high school, Doris entered the Civil Service in Hawaii, serving for two years during WWII.
In 1947, Doris married Norman C. Lewis in Pullman, WA. Together they owned and operated the Lewis Brother's Resort on Badger Lake in Cheney, WA between the years 1962 and 1990. She also worked as a bank associate and loan officer for Seafirst Bank in Cheney for 19 years during this time. Doris was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Spokane for many years and enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Norman Lewis of Pullman; two children, Doug Lewis and his wife Marggie of Boise, ID and Sandy Lewis of Pullman; two grandchildren, Lindsay and Brian Lewis and many other dear family members. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Violet.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pullman Regional Hospital, who took excellent care of Doris. KIMBALL FUNERAL HOME, PULLMAN, WA is caring for the family.
