The son of Tony Griffen Davis and Flora Mae (Davidson) Davis. He married Addie Lou White on Aug. 14, 1927 and they had 5 children: Margaret Laverne, John H. Davis, Jr., Cecil Joe, Billy Wayne and Charles Edward "Clayton." He was a God-fearing Christian man, who loved his family and taught them to grow up to be good Christians and love the Lord.
