Daughter of William Valentine Dame and Sarah Lincoln Lemons. Married to James Monroe Conn Mar. 13, 1902. Married to Charles Appling after 1940. Her obituary:
Nerve Conn Appling, 82, died Sunday at 4 a.m. at the Cotton Nursing Home in Lebanon. She had been ill for some time.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Maude Keltner, Whittier, California; Mrs. Audra Gingerick, Huntington Park, California; Mrs. Letha Austin, Lebanon; and Mrs. Bitha Varner, Springfield; two brothers, Lonnie Dame, Bixby,Oklahoma; Floyd Dame of Lebanon; one sister, Janie Conn, Lebanon.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Palmer-Pickering Chapel with the Rev. Finis Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Flat Woods Cemetery.
