JUNCTION WOMAN BURIED.

JUNCTION, Tex., Sept. 8, - Funeral services were held here Friday afternoon for Mrs. Lilla Kittrell Durst, 82, who died at her home late Thursday night after a brief serious illness.

Mrs. Durst, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. P.W. Kittrell, was born in Madison County, March 28, 1854, and lived in and near Huntsville until after her marriage to John S. Durst in 1877. While a resident of Huntsville she lived with her family in the famous old Steamboat House belonging to Gen. Sam Houston, and was intimately associated with him. In 1882 she moved to Kimble County, with her husband.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Sallie Sterett of Conroe, Tex., and the following children: Mrs. Asa G. Farmer, Junction; Mrs. Fannie Putegnat, Brownsville; Kittrell G. Durst, Junction; S.O. Durst, sheriff of Kimble County, Junction, and Leon H. Durst, A.P. executive, Kansas City, as well as several grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
