Accidentally on August 19, 1984, Mr. David Armstrong Archibald, age 84 years. Beloved husband of Gladys Archibald of Clearwater. Besides his wife Gladys, Mr. Archibald is survived by one brother Jim of Clearwater, four sisters, Mrs. Leif (May) Olson of Clearwater, Mrs. Gus (Irene) Johanson of Armstrong, Mrs. Bill (Ruth) Johnson of Princeton, Mrs. Ron (Dorothy) Cam of Myrtle Creek. Oregon, numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Archibald was predeceased by one brother Donald of Peachland. Mr. Archiblad has been a resident of Clearwater since 1938. Along with his brother Jim, Mr. Archibald operated a trap line and sawmill for a few years. Then he purchased a ranch in Upper Clearwater where he raised beef and dairy cattle until his retirement.
A grave side service was held at 11:00 am Friday, August 24, 1984 in Clearwater Cemetery with Rev. L. Strickland officiating. Arrangements in care of Schoening Funeral Service. (The Times, Aug. 29, 1984, pg 6)
