Stephen C. Adamson, aged 82 years and one month, died Thursday morning at 2 o'clock in his home in Franklin township. His death followed an illness of ten days, due to kidney trouble and other complications.
Mr. Adamson was widely known in the Waynesburg section having resided there for a number of years, removing to his farm about six years ago.
He was a son of Thomas and Sarah Hoge Adamson and is the last of a family of four children, and had the distinction of being a great-grandson of the late Stephen Hatfield, a bodyguard of George Washington.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Knight Adamson, and one daughter, Mrs. Lillie Lippencott with whom he resided. One son, Dr. Frank Adamson, died about 35 years ago. Four grandchildren also survive.
