Sarah Jane Buzard was born in Madison Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Malachi Buzard and Mary Evans. She was the second born having six brothers and four sisters. She married Jacob Pratt Curry on January 31, 1865, in Rimersburg, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.

MARRIED FIFTY YEARS. Clearfield County Couple Celebrates Important Wedding Anniversary. DuBois, Feb. 19--Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Curry celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage at their home in the Clear Run district, a large company of friends and neighbors assisting in the proper observance of the day. Mr. and Mrs. Curry received a number of handsome gifts including a large sum in gold coin. The house was beautifully decorated with flowers and a bounteous dinner was served in the evening. Mr. Curry was married to Sarah J. Buzard in Clarion county. He is 71 years old and she is 66. The former enlisted at the age of 17 and served three years in Company E, Sixty-second Pennsylvania infantry, his term ending with the siege of Petersburg. He engaged in various occupations and for many years was in the mercantile business, retiring two years ago. The couple has resided in the vicinity of DuBois for 25 years.
Obituary:
Mrs. J. P. Curry of Clear Run died this morning at 7:30 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. F. Lerch, of Grove Summit, cancer was the cause of of her death. Mrs. Curry is seventy years of age and is survived by the following children; Mrs. C. W. Green, and George Curry, of Clear Run; J. Curry of Sabula; Grant Curry of Butler; Harry, Parkersburg, W. Va., Roy of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Ada Spencer, Oregon; and Mrs. C. F. Lerch, of Grove Summit. The remains will be brought to Clear Run tomorrow. Funeral arrangements will be annouced later.
