INDIANAPOLIS - O. Pauline Brandyberry, age 90, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the Northwest Manor, Indianapolis, IN following a brief illness.

She was born May 4, 1916 in Pike County. Graduating from Petersburg High School, she went on to Indiana University, earning a bachelor's degree in 1940 and a master's degree in 1945.

She began an elementary teaching career in a one-room country school in Pike County that culminated in the New Castle, Indiana school system in 1981.

Formerly of Muncie, she most recently resided in Indianapolis.

She is survived by her son, Rev. Jim (wife, Earlene) Brandyberry of Indianapolis; and grandsons, Jason and Ashton Brandyberry.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Brandyberry, whom she married in 1948, and preceded her in 1971.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Brandyberry officiating.
Visitation will be hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Entombment will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
