Brandenburg, 15, of
Mountainburg,
died Thursday,
Dec. 3, 1998, at St.
Louis Children's
Hospital.
After years of
fighting cystic
fibrosis, receiving a lung trans-
plant and fighting cancer caused by
the transplant medication, Brandenburg died early Wednesday
morning. She received a double
lung transplant in July 1995, which
was the only option to save her life.
She was a student at Mountainburg Junior High School and was
a member of the Mountainburg
First Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday in
Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van
Buren, with burial at Pope Cemetery near Mountainburg.
She is survived by her parents,
Glenn and Sharon Brandenburg of
Mountainburg; her grandparents,
Merle and Wanda Brandenburg of
Van Buren; and several aunts and
uncles.
Pallbearers will be Darrell
Mirus, Paul and J.C. Elkins, Rod-
ney Boerjan, Kevin Brandenburg
and T.C. Harris.
The family will visit with friends
from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the
funeral home, 700 Jefferson in Van
Buren.
