Nelson H. Westmoreland, 37, veteran of the World War, died last night at the home of his mother, Mrs. A. M. Westmoreland, 807 O'Shaughnessy Avenue, after two years' illness.
He is survived by his mother; one brother, Carlton Westmoreland of Huntsville; and four sisters, Miss Bonnie Westmoreland, Mrs. Bobbie Lambert and Mrs. Imogene Bratten, all of the city, and Mrs. Maxine Cobb of Tullahoma, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence. Interment will be made in the Athens Cemetery at Athens, Alabama, with Poole-McCaleb in charge of arrangements. Ex-service men will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Westmoreland was a member of the supply department of the 57th Infantry and served overseas.
