Jacob A. Hauser, 58 years old, died early yesterday morning at his home in Newport, death being attributed to apoplexy.
The deceased had been a resident of this city all his life, having been born here. He was the son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Hauser. During the Spanish-American War he enlisted in the First Regiment, Delaware Infantry, being a member of Company C.
Since the death of his wife, nine years ago in Reading, Pa., he made his home with a sister, Mrs. Millie Hinderer, of this city, until two years ago.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon from the funeral home of H. Herbert Hirzel, Elmhurst, the Rev. Park W. Huntington officiating. Interment will be in the Riverview cemetery.
